What could be causing this I have another row planted 2 weeks later which are lush and green and now bigger than the yellowing ones ?

Fraid not my pics are always to big and I can't seem to sort that out  but have pulled them up now in case they affected the rest so far so good

Occasionally we get the odd yellow leaf, they seem to die off and i just clear them away when weeding. Beetroot leaves do seem to get the odd spotty leaves but again never a huge problem here. I am probably wrong but i just leave them too it

Perhaps you should have just left them. Leaves often yellow as they get old and there are not that many diseases that are likely to affect your beetroot.

FYI - you can use Paintbrush to open your pic then re-size to required and then save as a different name so you dont over-write your original... or download Cam2pc - its a simple software to use..    http://www.nabocorp.com/cam2pc/download.php

To he honest I pulled them up because not only were they yellowing but they were not growing very much and I have plenty more
I will try again with pictures but as I use my phone most of the time now Gavin it may be a tad tricky for me
