Sweet Potatoes
« on: June 29, 2010, 13:50 »
Hi All,

I just wondered if anybody has grown sweet potatoes and can give me any tips on growing them I am trying them for the first time this year as a experiment and I like a bit of a challenge. I bought them as plants and potted them on and planted the enlarged plants out around a week ago and they seem to be doing ok but any tips on growing from now would be great.

They are really a warm humid weather plant, still - you might get lucky
Good drainage sandy loam.Easy to dig up .Plenty water. They can get big and deep.
The white ones taste better than the orange one imho.
Eat leaves and roots.
