I feel naked
« on: January 29, 2020, 20:12 »
Finally, after three grovellings round the shop floor, two round the floor at home and now three in the washing up bowl I have had to admit that my wedding ring is too big and I've had to put it on my necklace.  I know where it is and I'm not going to have the worry that I've lost it, but I don't like not having it on my finger, it's been there 20 years.

I had to give in and take mine off a couple of years ago because I was a lot slimmer when we got married. Got used to not having it fairly quickly.

I've had a few, so I have got them in most sizes  :D  But the one I wear now NEVER comes off, except when I had to have to made smaller.   Wighty, perhaps you could have a new ring, and renew your vows.  Mrs Bouquet

I kept losing mine and Husband got cross after having to take the washing machine out for the 3rd time in a week I think and took it off me. It's locked in a cabinet that we're not allowed to open. Dodgy hinge. I also know what degloving is so I'm not making a fuss. Do NOT look up degloving images.

Taking the machine out meant that the imperfect Ikea fitting pipes came lose and flooded the kitchen.

As we don't advertise here, if anyone wants the name of the firm I used to mend my wedding ring, just a PM will be fine!

They made a great job of it, and I'd recommend them!

The memsahib has lost both at one time or another.  Engagement ringh on a beach in Spain and wedding ring in the canal on the way to 'that aqueduct in Wales'.  Luckily the jeweller that sold the engagement ring still had our records so produced an identical job.  My beloved has been wearing her Grannies ring as a replacement.
Me being a bloke, haven't lost nowt! ! !  Cheers,   Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

It's good to be allergic to rings - by the end of the wedding ceremony at the registry office the hand was up red raw and itching. So safely returned to box, just to come out for ceremonial occasions and never lost.
