Title: A tutorial on how to make newspaper pots!
Post by: Heather_S on April 15, 2006, 23:50
I just figured it out and made a tutorial website for it tonight! They're nicer than the other ones on the web and very similar to the expensive wooden form ones!
How to make nice newspaper pots (http://www.stargazy.org/newspaperpots/)

I promise I do drink better cider usually

Thanks for that Heather, just what I need!  Have you thought about selling it as an ebook on Ebay???   You'll make a fortune!!!!

I'm not too sure about ebooks. The only time I've heard of them is someone having problems with someone stealing their work and selling it as their own  :?

Besides it's nicer this way giving it away for free :D Please let me know if the page isn't clear anywhere so I can fix it. You'll be the first one to try it out!

Ebooks can sometimes make you good money if you have an original idea.  Ok, pots made out of newspapers isn't exactly silk purses from sow's ears (sorry piggies!!) but it isn't something I've come across and I have looked into selling eboks so i know that people get fed up with the same old thing, and although a simple idea, your little pots can save people money.  You see, lots of people, don't have ideas like that, but will snap something like it up.

Do you deal on Ebay at all Heather?  If you do, I'd try it, its easier if you have Paypal, people pay straight away, you only charge something like 99p for it and I don't think something like that is copyrighted.  YOu can even sell books like Great Expectations because they are in the public domain, they don't belong to anyone.  I was going to try it, but there are sooooo many people trying to sell the same old thing.  I wish I could come up with a simple idea that everyone would want.

Mind you, I must have a rethink on this subject.  I have a wonderful little book about surviving on very little.  Its called 'On next to Nothing'  Maybe I'll do a 'On Next to Nothing 2' lol

We don't get many newspapers, so my big problem is...... Do I make newspaper flower pots, or put the paper on the woodburner!!!!

I know, I'll make the pots in the summer when we don't use the fire, and use the winter papers for the fire, because I won't need the pots in the winter!!! lol
