Variable, depending on a lot of factors.

But I would I thought you'd see something soon.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

My F1 Maestro were sown in the greenhouse on 24th March and are about 1" high.

Seems a decent germination from them. about 95%

The soil temperature is not reliably warm yet according to Metcheck.........although it's lovely during the day it's still only 6...7 some nights. I think(?) that most stuff likes it over 10 to germinate......................as she goes away to check in the book

Looked on one of john's diary pages...........i wasn't going mad HA HA

"stuff Ive sown in the house hasnt germinated"

Stick it in the airing cupboard, check daily, move to greenhouse as soon as it is "up".

Some things need 10C min growing temperature (Toms, Cues, Chilli peppers perhaps?) but for many things warmth is needed for germination, but thereafter they are happy with a lower temperature.  Avoid checking the plant with excessively cool temperatures though.

Sorry guys I havent made myself clear on this one.  Some seeds have germinated and some havent, but its not down to temp, Im thinking its down to compost..so am going to have a scoot round tomorrow for a better quality peat free while theres still time
