I have 4 poland chicks - about 4 weeks old. They seem to spend alot of their time trying to fly. The other chooks i have have been heavy breeds that show no interest in flying. I was planning on putting these in the with my heavy chooks when old enough but their run is uncovered. Am i going to have to spend all my time fishing them out of the trees???

You could clip a wing on each one - that would limit the height and distance they would fly

Probably not good to clip wings until feathers fully grown.

Are chicks anything like lambs - jump up and down and race around manically and then turn into staid sheep - although some wont stay in the field!
Chicks may try to fly and then give up???
