Title: I am having trouble with my basil
Post by: jogreen68 on October 14, 2010, 13:42
Something keeps eating my basil, it is not the slugs or snails, there are no trails however every morning I came out an another leaf would be gone until I had none left.

Does anyone know how I could have combatted this, I am trying again indoors now but would like to have it outside next summer?

Any thoughts?

Welcome to the site, feel free to pop into the Welcome Forum and introduce yourself for a proper hello  :D

Are you absolutely sure it cannot be slugs / snails?  They are the most likely culprit unless it is pigeons / other birds (though I've not heard of birds attacking basil).

it's probably dessication due to cold. Basil likes to be in the warm or a cool place such as a cold greenhouse will do
