Title: Turkey eggs.
Post by: Bodger on June 05, 2008, 11:42
Anybody got any going that i could have ?
I've hatched all the chickens that I want for this year and have hens going broody all over the place. I'm having to find them in the fields where they are sitting in hedgerows and the like before they turn up with unwanted chicks. I do fancy having half a dozen turkeys for Christmas though and if I could lay my hands on some turkey eggs I'd do a quick swop of eggs under the broody while she wasn't looking. :D

How many chucks have you got bodger, I haven't any turkey eggs i'm afraid but imagine you must have a fair few chooks to have to "find them in fields"

As long as Kaz doesn't see this, I'll admit to having around fifty chickens and about 70 chicks and growers.  We are lucky to have just under five acres with the house.
