We visited here with our friends yesterday and got all our spuds:

Buckingham Nurseries and Garden Centre,
Tingewick Road, Buckingham, MK18 4AE, UK.
Tel: 01280 822133 - Fax: 01280 815491

http://www.hedging.co.uk/

Winter Opening Hours:
Monday - Saturday 8:30am - 5:30pm
Sunday 10:00am - 4:00pm (open for viewing at 9:45am)

They have a fantastic range of loose seed potatoes (already!). I didn't count how many varieties but at a guess it was 40-50.  :D

just an extra, harry - the seed and potatoe day in Mold is opposite the police station by the main car park. Turn right at the lights if you're coming 'up' the main street and the car park's on the left. don't leave it too late as they sell out fairly quick.
Hope to see you there...

I got mine yesterday from Dobbies in Clifton on the Blackpool Road (A583) about halfway between Preston and Blackpool. They only have about 8 varieties but they were £1.99 a bag for any variety and as many as you can fit in the bag - I got 17 wilja tubers in one bag and 14 king edwards in another - so works out about 12-14p a tuber (although my Mother in Law works there so I got a discount on top!). You could mix and match as well if you only wanted  two or three of each variety.

Here's this years list of potato days. My local one is Mold but last year I went to Gordale,Wirral, well worth a visit. You can buy the spuds pre packed or loose and even pick and mix a bagfull.
