Has anyone ever done this?  Any advice?  Also where is a good place to buy a big container?

In my humble opinion it would have to be a big container.

Last year I dug up and replaced a gooseberry bush and it was horribly big in the roots.

I'd say B&M have reasonably sized pots that might work for you. However I have heard of roots burning in the sun when the roots grow against the inside plastic of the container.

All said, I'd prefer to put a gooseberry bush in the ground - but maybe that's not an option for you?

Cheap as chips, diy preferred
Will swap root cuttings etc
