How long for "round-up"??
« on: April 16, 2008, 16:43 »
I've just sprayed my allotment plot with a generous amount of round-up, Sunday actually, and the farmers coming this Sunday to plough it. Will this be enough time for the round-up to do its job. The farmer reckons he'll bury all the grass with the plough anyway so it will die being underground right???

But i am conscious the roots can still cause a problem obviously.

Will this week be enough time for the round-up to penetrate the roots and render the soil weed free.

Here's hoping that's all I can say cause i spent all day Sunday with a fine sprayer going over every last square inch and did the same Monday!!!

Regards
Wee, sleekit, cowrin, tim'rous beastie,
O, what a panic's in thy breastie!

About a fortnight maybe a bit longer cos it's cold

Still you can't did or plant in these conditions so it'll throw you a bit late but plants have ahabit of catching up

When you do start just dig what you need soon and use it rather than try to dig the lot

Good Luck

Everything grows green for a Celt

Mostly organic 'cept weedkiller and slugs

I'm with Celtic I usually wait until I can see the tips going brown by that time I reckon it's in the roots too.  :D

Get it ploughed anyway and re-treat anything that sprouts up. Good luck
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
