An egg is moving, so I hope all goes well and a chick arrives soon. 4 others feel heavy.

Good luck with your hatch grinling, what breed are they?

Seems like there are a lot of eggs due this week.  I am hoping for 13 chickens and 9 quails.  Then another 10 chickens the week after and then........ well not sure yet!!   ::)

Mine in the incubator have a day or so to go but I keep going to check, even during the night if I wake for the toilet.     Well I don't want to miss anything.     I have always used a broody so keeping my fingers crossed the investment will be worth it.

What day and time did you set yours?  Mine were Tuesday 21st May at 5 pm, so I think day 21 starts tomorrow at 5 pm for mine.

When you take Roberta off to eat, have a listen, see if you can hear them cheeping yet!

I don't take my broody off when hatching has started.  I just offer her some chick crumb and water.   ;)

Nothing yet, not a cheep  :(
Have the chick crumb, but Roberta will not go to the loo if left inside, but I will be on door duty for her. My hens have to wait for her to finish before they are allowed out... opposite ends of the garden.

They sometimes go a day or so without a poo when broody, especially when the eggs have started to hatch.  Fingers crossed for a good hatch.   :)

Good luck!

Got 2 pipping here but hoping they will take a couple of days yet as still a bit early.
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.
