BBC Dig IN 2010
The BBC are continuing their Dig in campaign and have announced they will offering the following seed for this year from the 1st March
(All seed addicts add the date to your Diaries)

Seeds can be ordered online via the web site (after 1st March) or via their events throughout the year

This years selection are

Blue Lake French bean
A super-productive climbing bean that will give a heavy crop of long tender green pods with just a bit of care.

Black Beauty courgette
Heavy cropping and quick to grow, just a couple of plants will keep you in courgettes all summer long.

Royal Chantenay Red carrot
Short and sweet, these conical carrots are ready in just a few months and are perfect for growing in containers.

Mixed Leaf salad
A tangy, tasty mix of salad leaves made up of crunchy lettuce, delicate chard, tender spinach and spicy mizuna.

Sweet Genovese basil
A versatile herb with a lovely fragrance, this plant is perfect for growing on a warm windowsill - and for making pesto.

Free Seeds 

I ended up using most of mine last yr, and the butternut squashes got me well into squashes so growing a few different varietys this yr

I ordered some BBC seeds online last year and I'm still waiting for delivery!!

Thanks for the reminder. All last years dig in seeds produced well.

I got mine last year about mid June so still have them to plant this year. I will still apply again this year and hope they send them earlier. I think they were surprised by the uptake.

the newsletter I received gave the first as its launch date, I will keep checking and report back once they have updated their web page

Sorry I think I may of jumped the gun on this topic, because I couldn`t find the free seed section I put in a search at the top it took me to another page where it said the seeds had all gone,  I think this was last years seeds.  Sorry.  Mandy.

I have just had a look and the website has been updated.  Where it says free seeds, it says coming soon so I would think they will update it soon enough.

The page has now updated however where you should be able to order the seeds it says coming soon

I think they are being a bit cheeky by updating the page today but maybe not giving the seeds away until friday to coincide with Gardeners world. I'm just guessing
