[Beetroot queen]

We are debating put a poly up on dads plot, not huge but big enough for a family of 8 to get some nice harvests from.

Our site has had a lot of tunnel vandalism and I just can't decide whether to take the plunge.
What sort of size do people have, what sort of cost are we looking at. I don't know where to start. We have the space but where to buy from etc etc.

If your site has a lot of tunnel crime then I'm not sure I'd bother.  They are not cheap to  buy or repair.

Mine is about 12ft x 18ft and cost about £400 a couple of years ago. Main crops are the usual tomatoes; sweetcorn, salad stuff; very early spuds, beetroot, turnips, celeriac and carrots and very early strawberries. It's the latter that make it all worthwhile to me. To be getting fresh tasty strawbs from any time now when the only ones in the supermarkets are tasteless imported junk makes it all worthwhile to me

It's the community tunnel that seems to get it every time plus sheds, but individual tunnels seem to have been avoided. Wonder whether it's a grumpy ex tenant
