eradicating invasive pulmonaria

We had a lawn, once, which got neglected for 3 years, during which pesky pulmonaria have invaded and they're everywhere. Anyone know anything other than digging out the roots which will kill em off?
thanks

Pulmonarias generally spread by seeds. If you want to also kill all the grass, you could use glyphosphates like Roundup. If not, then digging them up is the only alternative. The roots aren't so bad. Just keep future flowers from going to seed.

Thanks Trillium, I've dug up quite a bit, but some places next to a long retaining wall are difficult, so I might well try Roundup,
Cheers
