Hi, I have an average size garden at home which we do use to grow veg in but Im getting a 'gardening plot' at work soon (the gardening plot will be slightly smaller than an allotment and we cant call them allotments for legal reasons - work will not allow folk to keep livestock on the land!!)
. Im keen to purchase the seed potatoes, but im totally stuck on what type. id dont know what types are under the header 'early' or 'main crop'. Altough ive grown potatoes, and other veg at home in the past, for the garden plot at work, id like to do things properly but as ive never had an allotment before (and they will be brand new plots of land as well), id appreciate some help / advice
any tips for books, websites etc would be gratefully appreciated
thank you

A tip?
Google whatever it is you are looking for; and do some general reading on the topic...then search in here for the specifics.

A couple of databases of varieties for you. "Taterbase" is less complicated than the British Potato Council one, so I suggest you start there.
Taterbase (http://www.dundrynurseries.co.uk/plist.asp)
British Potato Council (http://varieties.potato.org.uk/menu.php)
As for books, I'd be in trouble if I didn't point out this page of the website.
