Happy birthday Rocket!

Today was a fraught day with one thing and another so we treated ourselves to a chippy dinner from the finest chip shop in town. Blinking great it was too :)

Thank you P1P
Left over peri peri chicken, it was surprisingly good first time round and I live to tell the tale  :D. I did use the whole jar, actually it was a bottle. I'm going to file that one away for future reference.
Batts, which is Lidl own brand.

Happy birthday for yesterday BR  :)  Do you want me to put you on the birthdays list for next year ?  Kebabs and wine sounds OK to me.  You are allowed to eat what you want on your birrthday

I am doing the takeaway at home thing tonight with chicken curry (with perhaps the odd bit of courgette sneaked in )  ;)

Champagne  ???  Oh that is the fizzy wine in a fancy bottle that costs a lot is it ?  I have no style as is abundantly evident

As for the courgettes ... many and various are the ways I can sneak them into our tea and OH hardly even notices ... evil laugh

Grated and then squeezed in a tea towel and added to mince adds bulk but no taste as such.  My grandsons love spag bol and cottage pie but won't eat veg.  I add the grated courgette and carrot so they get the goodness.  My daughter's offerings don't taste the same as mine, apparently!  :D

Chicken, cheese and bacon toasties with pan fried courgettes, roasted red peppers and HM cajun mayo. And extra cheese. And extra bacon.

Roast lamb,  new potatoes, baked courgettes with crispy cheesy herb topping, broad and French beans, mint sauce - all home grown except the lamb, which had to travel all the way from New Zealand.

Plenty of gravy to go with the Yorkshire puddings.  :)
