At what age should a cockerel start crowing?

just wondering when a cockerel starts to crow, as elvis is now 23 wks and hasnt made a peep.

he's grown huge and im sure the last cockerel i had started alot younger.

he will probably start when the sun shines on his back in spring,,,,,a young mans thoughts turn to romance .......an old mans to getting his tomato's started

i had a neighbor once who asked me if my cockerel laid bigger eggs .i was shocked i thought she was joking .but she was deadly serious

its a bit like a school kid in the play ground .he walks around with a snotty nose more interested in spots on a lady bird ,.he gets noticed by another girl probably doing the same ,,,, he scores she scores ... he goes round the play ground now showing off playing " manly " sports .... crowing she goes giggling in the corner telling her gfs he has acne on his butt :roll: its life

i assumed you wanted rid of the cockerel to stop having babies .......the hens going broody etc

No no no,

im having an incubator and brooder for Christmas, and have even cleared the spare bedroom ready.

i cant keep him if he gets too noisey, but would love to have him stay.

and if he can have chicks before he gets to noisey thats wonderful.

can you imagine these two together, how cute?
