I've been researching what sorts to get,& I must say, these sorts are on my list of preferences. They are so sweet!Lovely names too.Is Miss Pepperpot the same as bovans nera?I know some types can be known by more than one name, such as Isa Brown is the same as Warren

I think the Pepperpots are hybrids of rhode island reds and plymouth rocks and the gingernuts are rhode island red and light sussex. They are lovely birds and they seem to love the children too.

They put themselves to bed last night and everything. I gave them a smooth while they were dopy at bed time and they seemed to like it and made soft babbling noises awwwwww.

Beautiful chooks. Almost make me wish I had chickens (almost      ).
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

Lovely girls, I love that contented cooing noise when they are settling down for the night. They are a bit noisier in the morning when they think I've had a long enough lie in

Kate if i get ducks, you get chickens? Ok :D ?

Brilliant ladies Yolky, Your black one is the same hybrid as mine, i'll warn you now if she takes after the red she'll be like mine. Huge! Good luck with them and keep giving us updates (unlike me, i've been naughty lately).
