I know. You've all heard it before but. We got our first egg today  and the eldest girls are only 18weeks old!! Not sure who's laid it, Wyandotte bantam, Dottie  or Pekin bantam, Milly but its perfectly shaped, hard shelled and light brown, albeit very, very small  :happy:
It can't possibly be from Pippa as she is only about 8 weeks old. Milly has reddened up quite a bit in the last couple of days and was rosey a bit yest. afternoon which she doesn't normally do. It wasn't there yesterday so must have been laid last night or this morning.
Soooo exciting isn't it??

I had my first eggs this week too - My neighbours were looking after my hens whilst I was away and I got the text to let me know.  Have had two more since I got back so didnt miss out.  I went for a fried egg sandwich, it was delicious.

She's laid another one this afternoon. Its def. Milly the Pekin at 18 weeks old is this a record
