We have some Scottish friends who live in France, in the Loire region, who used to keep chickens but now don't as they are so worried about losing them to pine martins.  I assume that your problem is a fox one though?  Is it a problem which has just started after a period of keeping chickens or have you just started keeping them and immediately run into this problem?

Hope when your new run & house is complete you will be able to continue keeping them safely.
