bokashi bran

Hi, has anyone tried giving their chickens bokashi bran. It is supposed to make their poo less acidic and protect the grass (as well as making the droppings smell better!). Does it work?

I have been using it just recently but there seems very little difference as far as I can tell.

We might run a trial on it with the members of our chook club and see what reports come back.

I used it for a while but the only difference I found was that the chickens went absolutely mad about it. Didn't notice any difference in any other areas. :shock:

I'm confused! Do you feed them the bran (that you sprinkle) or the resulting 'compost' ?!

I sprinkle some in their mash.
