Title: Not looking forward to the vets bill this month!
Post by: Casey76 on July 24, 2012, 08:43
First of all I got Pintos teeth done - that is about 150€

Then I decide to give Blitz a general check with routine blood tests.  When the results came back  it showed he had a stressed liver and was very low in selenium, so the vet was back out again with medicine and supplements.

In the interim period between having blood drawn and the vet coming abck out, Blitz went lame, so i got the vet to double check that.  He thinks it is just a hoof abscess, but isn't 100% sure.  So Blitz wa son anti-inflammatories for 4 days, and now I have to get the vet back out as he is still lame intermittently.

So that is going to be expensive.

Of course both horses need their feet doing this week too...  Good thing it's payday tomorrow!

Vet's bills are certainly expensive although somewhat erratic.

When Bessie was speyed and had some complications our vet was amazingly generous and made no extra charges. However, a friend who took a rescue kitten to him because of an eye infection ended up with a bill for E 250!! To make matters worse, a few days after arriving home the kitten disappeared!

I hope it's not too alarming Casey.

250E's seems a bit over the top for an eye infection

As for Casey's vet bill, not sure I'd want to know the total as I'm sure it will be scary.

Ouch!

Got to get 3 kittens vaccinated this month and the teeth sorted on our poorly old boy. Not looking forward to that bill.
