G,day its ok to plant but you need to keep them under control  build planter boxes out of treated pine 6inch x 2inch x 10feet long 20inchs wide, 6inch galvanised nails then a strand of wire round frame to hold to gether stop spliting,place on ground were you want it to go,mark out side with spade lift and shift frame dig out grass were you marked dig whats left put back frame level of then add heaps manure soil and organic fert,plant ya plants prune of old stalks you get fruit on new stalks,enjoy seeya,kenny
