Ruddy holidays!!

You get your seedlings just nice or you have a good number of trays all seeded up then - you have to leave the lot to fend for themselves while you go on 'oliday.

How do you cope and when do you folks go on holiday to avoid the problem of leaving seedlings unattended? Do you fit holidays around sowing times?

Our neighbour feeds our rabbit so I feel cheeky asking her to water my seedlings as well!

I know what you mean. We go away next week and are away for nearly a month - our choice I know - but we have no family or neighbours to look after things so I have had to try to get things well established enough to cope. I have drip feed bottles in my bags of earlies. I am making a water bath type thing to stand my pots of leek plants and any other seedlings in, will post a picture when it is done. I just hope we don't get any extremes of weather. Last year we had really dry weather during our break and as we have sandy soil my potatoes got scab. This year I have gone for scab resistant varieties.
