Title: Strange beasties!

Good evening everybody.

Whilst carrying out an inspection of the bar top hive, I noticed these little beasties attached to the dark side of the hive.  They are about 1/2" or 10mm ish across.  Anyone got any idea what they could be?

Cannot identify, but would put them into a jar.
Natural History Museum has an insect department and they might be able to tell you.
