Try your local industrial estate and ask at factories you can see them lying around outside.

Yes, especially if they look soggy; some places pile them up 'cos they don't use them, some because the do use them.
Printers are a good place to get small pallets 'cos they get paper delivered on pallet but completed work usually ships in boxes.

Try building sites, especially the big ones. The site office is normally in a container of sorts.
David Wilson sites in Warwickshire: http://www.dwh.co.uk/searchresults.html?dwh_site_County=Warwickshire&dwh_housetype_NumberOfBeds=0&dwh_plot_PriceMin=0&dwh_plot_PriceMax=0
The pallets for plaster boards have long planks which might be usefull.

Try freecycle, my local freecycle has firms that advertise them - sorry its too far away from you but there should be someone local. Just put a wanted ad on.

Good idea fluffy. Now stop reading this forum at the office and get back to work.

Sorry Mr David. Got an interview in March for a totally different job, so wish me luck.

Go for it girl, hope you knock 'em dead and they're so impressed that they double your salary.
-
Don't think they'll do that but I get a van and a toolbox and get to work outside some of the time. No more office

Weirdest xenix job I ever heard of! Good luck anyway.

Oh I ended up being an accountant, the xenix was just what I started on computers with, but this is a repair person type job so I am quite excited.

Coming back to palletts again - plumbers' merchants are good because they get long palletts with baths in, which are handy. But you do need a roofrack for them (and possibly a car as well).
-
When we finished building our house i would've loved someone to take my pallets away! I was inundated with 'em - broke some up and used around garden and ended up burning the rest :?
We have a pallet services near us too but not sure what they do with em or if they have some that are not worthwhile repairing...might have something similiar in the yellow pages check out www.yell.com
and type in Pallet Services for your area and you should get an idea who's near you.
