Hi all, i have 2 acers that are not looking to healthy and wonded wether the wet weather was affecting them and if so what is best to do?

I also have a canary island palm that began to rot in the wet winter last year can anyone offer me any advice as how to prevent this.
All of the above are heavy but can be moved if neccesary, i have a covered spot which dosent get much light but am unsure wether this suitable?

Acers don't like wind in particular, as well as wet so I guess the weather isn't doing them any favours.

Acers should be coming to the end of their season so maybe that's why they are looking a bit sad. Have you got sufficient drainage in their pots? Do they need re-potting - if so, don't pot them into too big a pot as they like some root restriction. Perhaps a slightly bigger pot, or scrape some soil off the top and replace with fresh, then feed. A covered spot without much light over winter shouldn't bother them as they will shortly lose their leaves and become dormant.
