(Fairly) new to flowers.
« on: August 26, 2023, 12:55 »
Good morning everyone,
next door have a beautiful flowering shrub/plant and although they would willingly give me cuttings, I've been and gone and bought three Alstroemeria plug plants.
They should be arriving in 2 weeks.

Which is best, to bung 'em in the ground where they will flourish or pot them up until the spring?

Cheers,  Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

They can be grown in containers so I'd pop them in them and see what happens. You can also bring them inside over winter just in case it's a harsh one.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
