thats not a bad price i would def go with that i paid £20 for a lemon cukoo pekin unsexed grower.
Pekins make fab mums if a tad fiery round the babies lol, we had a lovely lavinder pekin who hatched many  broods and would growl at us when we looked at and cuddled the babies lol.

I was always told pekins make good mamas too......'til I had one. She hatched  7 japanese black tails and was the worse mother on the planet!!! Really vicious toward them....so much so I had to take them away from her and raise them myself! It was probably her and not the breed though. :)

That is a fair price I would say.

I must send recent pics of my adopted brood. One Pekin sat the eggs, both are mothering. its quite amazing how fast the checiks have grown. I think they adopted the other chicken rather than the other way around, but she is very relaxed having two pals sitting under her wings.

I haven't had loads of eggs from mine, but they are lovely eggs although you do need two for poached eggs on toast!

Very friendly birds and great characters.

We have one lavender pekin who is now broody for the second time in only a couple of months so this time we have given her 9 eggs (just happen to b pekins) to sit on...so far things look good, she growls and fluffs up even bigger when we check on her....so will now have to see if she sits things out to the end and then how she is as a mother!

I'd say that's  very good price (I'd pay £10 for a good hybrid).

Check their health and condition before taking them though - It doesn't matter how cheap a chicken is, the vets bills are the same
