Red Mite Prevention
« on: August 15, 2012, 13:30 »
Hi
I am still learning and wonder re the red mite thing. Should I buy a product to mix with the wood shavings ? I always mix Stalosan with them and th0ught that it would keep the little beggars away. I now realise that I've just been lucky so far. So, what to buy and  how to use please ?
As ever.......... Thankyou.

prevention - spray your coop (if wooden) monthly with poultry shield and when dry make a diatom slurry (you will find the recipe for Hillfooters slurry mix if you type it into the search box) and paint it on all the joints and the perches.
Staffies are softer than you think.
