dash to the emergency vets.
« on: December 28, 2009, 22:06 »
Well it never rains but it pores in our house.

Ive had a poorly chicken in the house for over a week (shes on the mend) but back to the vets tomorrow and now when things were all nice and quiet Peaches my old poodle from my avatar and Kia had a little set to. All peaches fault what is it with small old dogs having rambo like behaviour. All over a Christmas chew.

Well I have to admit I panicked there was blood everywhere. I thought Kia had popped her eye but no somehow she has managed to tear her eyelid and is in a right sorry state. Shes at the vets now and has to stay in overnight for emergency surgery and well we have to wait and see. Because of her age it is always difficult but im a positive person and I know she is going to be okay.

I think I should have left husband there as well as he has gone into shock (hes a glass isnt just half empty kind of person oh no hes the glass is chipped and water pouring out kind of person)

Ayway just thought id share. Fingers crossed everyone.

Em

Sounds as though she's in the best place and hope everything turns out well in the morning
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Oh bless her. You too, why does it always happen out of hours, when it costs double?? I'm quite sure she'll be fine, but do please let us know.

My thoughts are with you,

Animals and children always get ill when the doctors/vets is closed! Most important thing is that Kia is at the vets where they can take good care of her. I really hope she gets better, I know how awful it is when a much loved pet is rushed in, and it's amazing how a small amount of blood can look like gallons when splattered around a room! My thoughts are with you, big hugs from me xxxx

Hope she's alright today when you go back to the vets. My two have the occasional fight and it is usually the old dog who instigates it when really she should know better. hugs from me xxxx

Sorry guys my post was confusing last night as I was knackered. It was peaches the old dog at the vet. Anyway we picked her up at 6am this morning. She looks as if she has been ten rounds with mike tyson but at least she is okay.

She has a massive black eye and is feeling very sorry for herself.

Ill try and post a picture later.
