Strawberry Vodka Liquer
« on: May 22, 2008, 17:36 »
Anyway - After upsetting a certain person on here I'll continue in a new thread(thred) - I picked a load of strawberries, put them in a large kilner jar with some sugar syrup and covered them with vodka.  Left them a few days and then strained the vodka off, back into it's bottle, covered them again with more vodka, added that day's pickings of strawbs and left that for a few more  days.  Again strained the vodka off and then juiiced the leftover strawbs in my juicer.  Put the juice back into the vodka bottle and put it in the freezer.  OH MY GOD - strawberry slush with a kick like a mule.  Gorgeous.   Will definitely make some more before the strawbs all go over. :D

BTW - anybody can feel free to hijack this posting.  Never one to be petty minded - and I can spell  (I think)

The best thing about this is that it only takes a few days - so if you are an apprentice alki like me you can "test" the results fairly quickly.
