Stainless steel spades and forks £5.98 at big Tescos. Also black plastic mulch sheets for about £1.50 - one did my whole strawberry bed last year and certainly kept the weeds down.

Nice one - keep an eye on Wilkinsons, they're starting to refit for Christmas so garden clearances.

was just about to try and tell everyone about the tesco bargains!  i got ian a very lovely stainless steel fork complete with ash handle today, £5.98 as noshed said, she's a beauty!
also got lots of organic feed and bug spray (terrible black fly on our dahlia) for dirt cheap.  also with john on the wilkos front i got a fab water butt there some years ago originally £20 odd quid and i got it for £3.50 - mind you it before i got the plot and it sat in my spare room for two years, still a bargain!!!

Poundland sells loads of usefull bits and my daughter loves going up to the staff and asking how much things are :roll:
