Title: Hi from sunny Manchester!
Post by: Carlos on September 16, 2017, 09:43
Just posting a quick intro message to say 'Hello' and to thank the forum for allowing me to join.
I live in Manchester and have an allotment with a couple of greenhouses, a number of raised beds, fruit trees and a few hens. For years I was only really interested in growing for food but have now been getting more interested in gardening in general. I moved house a week before last Christmas and the property came with a fair sized, South facing back garden that is pretty much a blank canvas. I have started to landscape the garden and have a few perennial borders taking shape. It will be this new gardening venture that will be where I will be needing most advice as I am a complete novice with trees, shrubs and flowers. Hopefully I will be able to pass on bits of allotment advice to fellow members at the same time.

Hi Carlos and welcome to the forum  :)

Lots of keen gardeners here who love their ornamental gardens just as much as their veg  ;)

Your new garden sounds as though it will provide lots of opportunities. We do like to share photos, so any that you can attach would be good to see  :nowink:
