Hurrah, opened the back door today and there she was, the naughty litle Silkie. I don't know where she went to bed last night but she was hidden somewhere.

Good that I don't so far have a daytime prowler and she is alive
Bad that I will have to keep watch to find where she is hiding and put her away each night

She has always been a bit of a devil going into the cow field and wandering off, maybe she is an outdoor type chicken who prefers trees to a nice cosy house.

I will keep a watch and be as careful as always and my nephew who has a gun and licence (forgot about him) has offered to come and take a few shots at the rats! They are now on their 2nd 15k box and still eating it the problem is huge but so is the land :cry:

I am pleased that I have seen no more in the chicken run or greenhouse though just further away near the dung heep which has grown a bit as the constant burner has gne out with the rain.
