Brilliant little tool,  It removes the strings and slices them into the correct size for steaming.  Very fast and easy.  Ive had it for several years and It is good.
It is very good and very efficient at that one task, it usually takes me a couple of days to find it again when the bean slicing season comes around again

Oh Lord, here we go again.  ::)

I'm with MoS on this one - beans should be diamond cut ... anything else, well that's just not cricket.

And to keep things on topic. I have a mini-chopper, it's excellent for chopping stuff up but rubbish for slicing or dicing.

I have a wonderful Moulinex food processor with every bit imaginable. Because of the size of my kitchen it stays in its box in the pantry, under the spare jars, the wok and the steamer.

I use a knife.

Have looked at all the recommendations and have come to the conclusion that my peeler, my grater and my knife are safer and easier to clean.  thanks for saving me money - much appreciated.

But I read some horror stories where the sharp blades fall off into the foods and end up lodged into someones gum - eeek.  Put me right off.

I've never found I could get enough pressure to use those slicer things - although the bloke doing the demo was using them so quickly and efficiently  :nowink:

Mine got 'lost in the back of the cupboard' years ago - never to be seen again  :D
