Side-shoot removal on Black Russian tomatoes
« on: June 28, 2014, 10:25 »
I am trying Black Russian this year due to recommendations on this site.  I'm confused on how to side shoot them - they seem to divide into two shoots, instead of having a new shoot between the leader and the leaves.  Do I just keep breaking off shoots, so I have one shoot heading towards the greenhouse roof?

If I've not lost everybody with my description , I'd appreciate some advice.

They sometimes seem to want to grow with two tips, so I often train two of them upwards, removing all the sideshoots off of these.
