Conference Pear blossom
« on: August 26, 2013, 19:25 »
Last winter I planted a few fruit trees, one of them being a 2 year-old Conference Pear. It duly blossomed in May and set a couple of small fruit that fell off but I've just noticed that it's blossoming again!

Why is this and should I just remove the blossom to preserve its strength for next year?

It's confused by the weather - I would remove the flowers on a small tree so that it can get well established, and keep my fingers crossed for next year  :)
