Title: Cleaning out the chicken house
Post by: Evansent on October 24, 2008, 20:43
Hi All,

Tomorrow I will have had the ladies for a whole week!  So it is time for a full clean. Is there a specific cleaning product I should use?

Thanks

Thanks for the tips.

I have been taking the poo out each day, ( I wouldn't let the girlies sit in that lot!!) but now want to change the woodshavings and give the floor, nest box and perches a scrub.

Is household disinfectant ok, or should i just use washing up liquid?

Thanks in anticipation

   Blimey makes me feel   I poo pick every day, full clean out once a week but all that means is everything removed and fresh bedding put down. I scatter diatom down when I think it needs it. All my chooks are healthy....touch wood....and I have been doing this for 3 years now.
