I can't get comfrey here in Italy, so I ordered some I found on Amazon...

It was listed as Bocking 14

But, what arrived was a packet of seeds....

Looking again at my order, it's title is "5 pieces bocking 14 cultivated biologically".
However in the small print it says "cultivated from seeds".
Which means I get sent seeds....

But... I thought the whole point about Bocking 14 is that it's sterile, therefore no seeds... so is it likely that what I have been sent is something else completely, that is going to be a bad idea to try?

If you actually got seeds, and the add showed root cuttings, I'd send them back/complain as not what was advertised.

Right, but technically in the small print, it did say seeds... in any case, it took 4 months to arrive, so if they are good, then I will try them.  Just suspicious as I would have thought a sterile variety wouldn't have seeds.

Isn't Bocking 14 sterile so the seeds could really be 'anything'.

As mum says raise a complaint - 'cultivated from seeds' certainly does not mean you should receive seeds.

The RHS do mention propagating B14 from seed, division or root cuttings.
