Well counted chicks last night i have 28, sold ten boys monday otherwise would have been 38 best hacth by far 38 babies from 45 eggs was well happy

forgive my ignorance  are these ALL red sussex? They look quite variable in colour.  Arent chicks CUTE!!!!!!  I have just put 20 cream legbars, and 20 silkies in 2 x rcom20's  now the 3 week wait.

teapots 17 of them are red sussex, the rest are rir x light sussex couple of light sussexs, and a buff orp x warren making it up to 38 chicks

Yes it is one of her babies the only one to hatch out of 5 eggs

i am chuffed to pieces, nearly gave a few months ago as was not getting goood results, but this hatch was really good and has given me the confidence to go on.
