Pumpkin
« on: August 09, 2013, 22:24 »
Hi all.

I have a pumpkin plant that is doing a very good job at growing in length,  but any fruits on it are not setting bar one which is staying very small. Am I ok to cut the plant back to stop the length stealing any and all nutrients assuming it is doing this?

Might be that they are not pollinating, make sure the male flower is the one on salk hits the bulb flower. Also they love masses of horse manure. I went for two foot of fresh manure and it loves it!
Kind Regards
Bill

hi, i had the same problem the other week.

all i did was take off the male flower, take all the petals off so your left with the stamen and rub it inside the female flower to pollinate it. now the pumpkin is the size of a tennis ball
