Hi, all my sweetcorn have sideshoots, ive had these last year and left them, they never produce anythung so i was wondering if i should cut them out to give the main stalk more of the energy?

Can't help but I have sideshoots on a few too (my first year of growing). I shall see what answers we have

It's rather normal and there is no need to remove them, makes no difference to yields.

My sweetcorn is still at home in pots, going a bit yellow now :( Just not had time to plant them out at the plot...am I going to be too late for any kind of harvest from them

Not for time, but they can be well affected in the wait.
