I had the last 4 letters by row 3 but it took me 'til the last row to get the first letter right 
 

in that situation (where there are lots of letters that could fill the space) I find a word that contains several of them and try that; if one's yellow I know it's that one, if none, then it's one of the remaining possible letters

It really is a great mind bender isn't it!

I started with the word 'Roate', which was recommended by some wag after all you chums got me on to this!

In fact, Elder Daught claims that she told me about it first and then texted me to tell me that she got five 'yellows' by the third row!

I'm over to see her in Marden tomorrow, so she'd better have the Guinness ready as it's St Patrick's Day!
