Title: Poundland - In the Garden with Charlie Dimmock range
Post by: lettice on April 05, 2016, 11:35
Just been to Poundland and they have had quite a big reshuffle of their gardening range.
Mostly centred around new 'In the Garden with Charlie Dimmock' range, but certainly is a lot more than I've ever seen in these pound shops.
Of course, the 99p stores have now become Poundland stores, so should be one of these everywhere.

100 assorted cable ties and 250 metres of garden twine for £1 is just a great bargain.

I went down to get a watering can for weed killer. Seemed good for £1.

Well it looked bigger than that on the website

Well my local Poundland didn't have the Wodden-Handled Rake, there was however a plastic handled version, but at a £1 a pop I have treated myself to the other wooden handled hand tools for my new plot and they appear to look very robust. The proof will be in the using and I will let you know how well they stand up to use.

At a £1 I may actually buy another Wooden-Handled Trowel and apply a hammer and persuade it into a tighter narrower planting version using a section of broom handle and the vice to dress the steel around.

The good thing with these tools is that they are cheap I don't want anything too expensive shiny and nickable in the shed.
