Sorry is it soft wood or bark from the  run floor
Only my local garden centre has a good deal on at the mo

Bark is not recommended as it contains spores that may affect the chooks respiratory system - this advice was given by that very rare creature - a vet who specialises in chickens!

I think the soft wood - I have heard that the bark can harbour mould.

Ive been looking for a solution for my run floor,its a mud bath with all the rain we have had,i was thinking would hardwood woodchips be better for drainage and maybe last a little longer than the softwood from B&Q,i have a large run and unsure whether to purchase these??? thanks x
