Now my Lovage has gone
« on: May 30, 2007, 19:25 »
I told you recently that something had eaten one of my Tumbling Tomatoes in a high up basket. Slugs or squirrels were sugested, I covered the others with fleece and there're OK up to now.

But two young Lovage plants which had been doing well by the back fence, behind my newly planted Comfrey bed, have DISAPPEARED.
 AND BESIDE THEM A GREAT BIG FAT SLUG :!:
The slug was hit by a brick and is presumed dead.
Slug pellets are now everywhere around, including the comfrey plants.

Do you think the lovages will grow again? They had pretty strong - looking roots.
Former biochemist, now experimenting and having fun. :-)
