Title: Powder for growing carrots
Post by: johnjsdb on July 13, 2017, 16:41
Hello
A fellow allotment holder told me that some 25+ years ago he had an allotment and remembers sprinkling some sort of powder on carrot seeds to help germination/growth. He couldn't remember the name of the powder, has anyone heard of this or something similar?

Bromophos.....I can remember using that horrible stuff in the 1970's. Those were the days when everything on the plot that wasn't a vegetable was your enemy and had to be destroyed. How things have changed!
