What funny things do your chickens do?

I have no idea what type of hen mine are....they're just....brown.  Any idea what type that is?   

I can tell them all apart though, they all have their individual character.

Why do they do the crouching thing when you go to pick them up?

sit on the kitchen windowsill looking into the kitchen, just in case we have some food for them. no point in closing the bottom half of the kitchen stable door, they get over, make sure the kitchen door is shut, before you let them into the garden, they can make it back into the kitchen before you do, and then finish the dogs food.

RAW the crouching thing is simply submitting to the cockerel/ dominant person for mating.
